Cannabis extraction and refinement is performed by supercritical fluid CO2 solvent extraction and short-path vacuum distillation for consistent, high through-put processing with minimal waste. Processing aids are reclaimed and introduced back into the processing lifecycle for true sustainability. Specializing in water-based formulations, Green Mountain Scientific emulsion technologies are shelf-stable, taste great and suitable for a wide variety of product applications. All ingestible formulations are limited to low pH or low water activity products. Water based liquid supplement manufacture is performed with sterilized packaging and formulations contain preservative systems. Limited use of glass and metal tools in our manufacturing area eliminates risk of foreign particle contamination. Our sanitation procedures are based on GMP Q7A and upheld with the highest level of discipline. A comprehensive internal analytical testing program allows for real-time process control and all 3rd party testing is performed according to VT-CCB guidelines with certified, licensed Vermont Cannabis Testing Laboratories.

Green Mountain Scientific is the shared vision of owners, Keith Griswold and Nathan Liberty. After honing their skills and building diverse networks in the Vermont Hemp Industry, Keith and Nathan recognized a need for a science driven organization offering safe, high quality, and affordable cannabis-derived products to the legal Vermont recreational market. The GMS vision integrates decades of diversified experiences in sales, pharmaceutics, food/beverage and culinary management.
Tier III manufacturing operations were established in 2022 in Morrisville, Vermont with a state-of-the-art facility combining cannabis processing, product development and product manufacturer. Tier III outdoor cultivation was adopted by GMS in 2023, merging with Sweet Lou’s Farm to achieve true seed to shelf capabilities.
